A mischievous puppy created havoc in Melbourne’s northwest yesterday when it somehow managed to get stuck between two brick walls.
Pixie, a troublesome12-week-old english setter, was playing in her family’s backyard in Flemington when she became stuck around midday.
Owner Davydd Griffiths (inset right) was unable to coax the little pup out and had to call an animal rescue specialist to help.
A hammer was used to smash a hole in a garage wall and Pixie was finally freed about 4.30pm.
“She is a very naughty pup ... she was out playing, having a little adventure when she got stuck,” Mr Griffiths said. “I don’t know how she managed it, but she jumped into this gap and got wedged between two solid brick walls.
“It was quite a few hours she was stuck. We just couldn’t coax her out. She was wedged very tightly. In the end, the hammer and drill worked and we got her out. We’re all very relieved.”
