When Noah Alford caught a basketball with both hands outstretched he was ­speechless.
The lively Corio eight-year-old was born without fingers on his left hand and, until Saturday, could not use it to catch, tie his shoelaces easily or hold a knife and fork together.
A bionic hand — gifted to him by a Melbourne engineer — has made all these tasks possible.
