Warriewood’s Karl Brown watched his two kids racing around the Manly Warringah BMX Club’s track and thought, “that looks like too much fun”.
Two years ago the track at Terrey Hills was refurbished and the club went from having six foundation members to 60.
Mr Brown said the council did a terrific job with the track, “but people really have no idea we’re there”.
He was lured to have a ride and, while admitting he wasn’t the best at it, said it was quite exhilarating.
But his kids Harrison, 8, and Chloe, 6, absolutely loved it and the family has just returned from the Australian BMX Championships in Brisbane.
