Thirteen cousins from Mount Moriac haven’t hit the hay these school holidays.
Instead they’ve rolled 10 hay bales together and decked them out with solar lights, baubles and tinsel in a bid to make a striking Christmas tree, visible from the Princes Highway.
“It started as an opportunity to get the family all together and out on the farm,” mother and aunty Paula Stiles said.
“The response we’ve had so far has been huge.”
Mrs Stiles said it had taken a couple of days and three trips to Bunnings to get the job done.
