He's the real deal and his beard proves it.
Santa David sets a high bar for his Christmas campaigns. And legions of fans, for whom Christmas only really begins once he unleashes his ho-ho-hos, love it.
A member of the exclusive US-based International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas, Santa David draws huge crowds to his grotto at Revesby Workers Club.
Many visitors come back every year and he is already taking bookings for next year and beyond.
Santa David said it was crucial that agencies gave Santas the right support to enable optimal levels of Christmas cheer, and that included airconditioning to help them through hot summer days.
“A prominent location wasn’t airconditioned but they told me they would have fans and refrigerated seats, but they didn’t do it,” he said.
“My conditions demand better quality and another thing was they weren’t allowing enough time to talk to the children and I feel that it’s all about the experience with the child, not about the quotas.”
He is keen to start a training program to help lift Santa standards across the board.
