A little girl in Trinity Beach has had a life-changing gift given to her by complete strangers.
Three-year-old Ciara Burgin has spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy, which requires intense physiotherapy.
Her mother Aishling Crehan said Ciara needed a long, flat surface at home to walk up and down after Botox administrations in her legs.
The mother-of-two was overwhelmed by the support of the community, who donated materials and labour to concrete the side of her house.
“It enables Ciara to now be able to get out of the car into her frame and walk straight to the door,” she said.
“Everyone that I approached said ‘yes’. I was very lucky and am very grateful.”
She said she couldn’t have given her daughter the essential resource without the help of good Samaritans.
“It’s very heartwarming, they made our hearts sing,” she said.
