Well may we say God save the Queen ... because nothing is going to save this lot.
Australian comedy royalty gathered for an official portrait at the Regent Theatre. And while its members bore some resemblance to a certain Windsor family, complete with dutiful corgis, their bearing was far from regal.
Dave Hughes’s monarch was pouty and slouchy, his ­uniformed consort, Wil Anderson, glumly subservient. As for Frank Woodley’s tartan-kilted prince ... so undignified.
But what do you expect? These are Australian stand-up comedians, ready to let rip at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
