Prep pupils at Preston Primary will be seeing double.
An unprecedented six sets of twins — seven boys and five girls — will start class at the northern suburbs school.
Running, making friends and swimming lessons top the delightful dozen’s to-do list.
Bella, 5, wants to learn to read with sister Billie, having mastered counting to 10.
The duo got a sneak peek at the playground yesterday, and weren’t disappointed.
“I like playing hopscotch. You go: one, two, three, four, five,” Bella said. “But I don’t know how to read.”
Felix and Max, 5, will learn the ropes from elder brother Archie in grade three.
“Archie’s loved coming to this school, so hopefully his enthusiasm will rub off on them,” mum Helen said.
“I’m sure he’ll tell them all the things they’re not supposed to do. I’m just sad that my babies are growing up.”
The twins — who make up 10 per cent of Preston’s new cohort — are among 79,200 prep pupils across the state.
