Prams are no longer just for babies.
Gold Coast Pet Butler owner Joanne Parkes leases “puppy prams”, also known as pet strollers, to dog owners looking for new ways to keep their four-legged friends off the ground.
“It’s not just a fashion statement but also a practical accessory to keep puppies safe from disease while awaiting vaccinations or to keep interactions to a minimum if your pet is shy,” she said. “Puppies can pick up viruses from other pets and can be intimidated by bigger dogs so a puppy pram is a great way to keep them safe in a stylish way.
“They can be wheeled almost anywhere.”
Ms Parkes said the prams were not just for puppies, but also for older dogs no longer able to walk long distances or dogs that have undergone surgery.
