It's not just tennis stars copping a serve from the heat during this year’s Australian Open.
Bailey, a 10-year-old labrador retriever cross, is cooling down during breaks in play at her northern beaches home. And she will be back in the pool this week as the mercury charges into the 40s.
“She sits on the couch and watches the tennis daily with mum,” owner Ian Pidgeon said.
“She does love a swim in the pool, but we don’t do it too often or you end up with a filter full of hair.”
Clear skies are predicted over Bailey's place at Dee Why today as well as the city and western suburbs.
