With just a flick of her magic wand, Emina the Tooth Fairy is helping Gold Coast children relax in the dentist’s chair.
The stark white walls and jackets usually associated with dental clinics are all but gone at Tooth Fairy International, Labrador.
Instead, the walls in the “fairy room” are painted aqua and decorated with stickers, while the dentist’s chair is bright orange.
Dressed in a fairy dress with green wings, oral health therapist Emina Muminovic has been helping to ease the fear of visits to the dentist for the past five years.
“With the scared (children), they’ve usually had a bad experience or uncomfortable treatment,” she said.
Southport mother-of-two Jackie Jones said visits to the tooth fairy with her children Taylor-Anne, 9, and Dalton, 5, were always positive experiences.
“The kids actually look ­forward to coming here instead of dreading it,” she said.
“They have no fear.
