When his wife started cutting his daughter’s sandwiches into fun shapes, David Blumenthal got the idea to start drawing cartoons and dad jokes on school lunch bags. “It started when my eldest daughter was in prep and she’s now in year 8, and I’m still doing them all these years later,” he said. He started an Instagram page @sandwichbagdad for his creations after a teacher pushed him to post them on social media. His page has since gained more than 2000 followers, and posted 720 bags.
