While almost all of Dreamworld’s 1000-strong workforce have been stood down, in a move mirrored by companies across the country and the world, a dedicated band of wildlife staffers will stay on to care for the park’s menagerie of 550 animals. On Tiger Island, nine staff are now working on reduced hours to care for the attraction’s 11 big cats as the park navigates its second forced shut down in four years.
