Goats are widely known for scaling steep mountains, fainting spontaneously and yelling like humans on occasion but Schnitzel the goat is best known for her daily exercise routine. The three-year-old is known to run the bridge-to-bridge walk along the Nepean River daily with her owner, Beau Niha. Mr Niha said other runners often mistook Schnitzel for a dog. “She is loyal and she doesn’t bark — but she can scream,” he said. “She always sticks close to me because she knows I love her and can run the entire 6.4km in a little over one hour and 15 minutes — with a break or two along the way.” Mr Niha has raised Schnitzel since she was a baby. “The inspiration behind her name, Schnitzel, is because she was going to be one if I didn’t adopt her,” he said.
