An Adelaide-made stout brewed using FruChocs must surely be the most South Australian beer ever created.
Jason Harris and Craig Basford, of the Big Shed Brewing Concern, agree: “Yep, short of making a beer with fritz, this is about it.”
The SA icon-inspired dark stout, called BruChocs, launches today on tap and in bottles, to mark FruChocs Appreciation Day. Mr Harris said the first batch required a mammoth quarter of a tonne of Robern Menz FruChocs fruit. “The centre, the actual peach and apricot centre of a FruChoc, is used,” he said.
