Greek superstar tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas kept his eye on the game as he took time out from training for a quick visit to the Sydney Fish Market.
Stopping for a short lesson in sushi making, the number 15 ranked player in the world is widely tipped as a contender to one day take over from Roger Federer as the top male tennis player on the globe.
“That is my plan for the future,” the 20-year-old (below) told Confidential. “I hope for that.
“Hopefully I get there one day.”
When Federer defeated Tsitsipas in a straight sets win in Perth last week, the tennis great said he was “very impressed” with the upcomer, who begins his preparation for the Australian Open at the Sydney International today.
“It is a big honour to have Federer say these things about me,” he said. “He has been my idol growing up. It was such a nice feeling facing him on the court in Perth, it was very emotional.”
