South Barwon captain Terry Hill could miss the rest of the GCA season after undergoing revolutionary surgery to repair a busted finger.
Hill is sporting a brace on his right hand and hobbling around in a moon boot after doctors completed dual surgeries to save his finger.
The first-year Swans skipper revealed how doctors took the drastic step to remove bone from the toe in his left foot in order to repair his index finger in his right hand.
“My finger was dying where my knuckle was,” Hill said.
“It was smashed to pieces.”
