Now Bob can finally get to the other side, thanks to his custom-built chicken wheelchair.
Dubbed “Bob the Drag Queen” by his rescuers, the young rooster was given something to crow about yesterday after receiving his specially designed therapy chair.
But he hasn’t always been this clucky.
Bob was found clinging to life after a fox attack in Victoria last week.
Sarah from animal rescue group, Dreamer’s Hen Rescue, said he was suffering a badly broken leg and had nothing but a few grains of uncooked rice to eat.
“There was not a single drop of water in his bowl,” she said.
“We knew we needed to get him out of there.”
Bob was rushed to the Melbourne Bird Vet – along with two more chickens from the property, hens Latrice and Shangela – and underwent emergency treatment on his injured leg.
Sarah said Bob was recovering from his injuries well and would stay in foster care until he was better.
