When Jesse Pannenburg sits in assemblies at Edwardstown Primary, he imagines his little sister Holly beside the other reception students.
Holly would have started school there this year. But she never made it, losing her seven-month battle with leukaemia a few weeks before her first birthday.
Jesse, 11, has paid tribute to his younger sister by shaving his long blond locks during an assembly to raise more than $5700 for the Childhood Cancer Association, which has provided a mountain of support to his family.
