A Pooch palace in Whittlesea has been crowned Victoria’s top grooming salon by dog owners who voted for their favourite fur-dresser.
Hairy Cherubs Dog Grooming has been washing and styling dogs for more than 20 years and has become a family favourite in Melbourne’s north.
Owner Trish Wileman said the small salon goes above and beyond a regular service with its clients.
“We take before and after photos of dogs when they come in for their owners to keep,” she said. “We also organise dog walking events, champagne evenings and high tea for customers.”
Ms Wileman said she was shocked to discover her salon was voted the Victorian winner in the Australia’s Favourite Dog Groomer competition on dogshare.com.au. She credits the support of her regular customers, who have been coming back for more than a decade.
Ms Wileman’s own poodle Rio received the royal treatment at the shop to celebrate the big win.
